In many South African schools, the issue isn’t talent but gaps in foundational maths. When students reach the “Grade 10 wall,” it often traces back to missed concepts in Grades 6–9, creating a ceiling for future STEM success. As these gaps grow, they lead to anxiety, disengagement, and students dropping Pure Maths.
